I know the Y block will be a tight fit. I'm wanting to set up the chassis with the Y block, transmission, and radiator all installed to check my clearances as well as figure out how to tactfully cut...

I have a bare but very nice 37 frame and front and rear axels from a 40. I also have a 39 frame that's junk but just a quick glance appears the axles are not 39 but from some year earlier (i.e....

I didn't think of Vanpelts site. I've been there for my transmission ID information. I just now found their "Parts Drawings" page which helps.
I don't have a Green Book but I'll get one.
