Re: Painting 101 - Need some insight

Many thanks to those who replied. I think I'll walk away.
Back in the day, I used to get cars painted at the local bargain shop by buying the cheap paint job; then slipping $50 bucks each to the...

Painting 101 - Need some insight

Gentlemen,
I've not had a car painted in some time, and my daughter wants a quick, same color repaint of her 2000 Mustang.
The guy said he'd paint it with deluxe enamel. Then he said for...

Re: My 47 Ford pickup is on the road!!!

Man, that is a good-lookin' truck!
I had a similar experience myself last week with my '52 F-2. It's truly a magical moment when the all the greasy, dirty work pays off, and you hear it running...

Re: Cure for ethonol gasoline ???

I saw this sign in North Dakota, where they grow lots of corn.
In Oklahoma, I saw signs advertising ethanol-free, 100% gasoline for a few cents extra per gallon. I tried a tankful, and there was a...

Re: 1952 Ford F-2 - 215 OHV redux

Thanks to those who replied. I've not checked or replaced my ballast resister. I did clean the pump-to-carb fuel line and was amazed at the amount of stuff that came out; so there's food for...

1952 Ford F-2 - 215 OHV redux

This beauty started again with no problems this morning. It idled sort of fast, and I didn't stop to adjust it. Took it for a spin to 7-11 and back, about 4 miles. Ran it up past 45mph in 4th with...

Alan,
I live in Florida, between Orlando and Sanford. Bought the truck in OK, and shipped it home.

Re: 1952 Ford F-2 - 215 OHV

Thanks to all who replied.
Truckdog,
That's a honey of an engine there. Mines exactly like it, except covered in a thick ceramic glaze of Oklahoma clay, oil and sand. I'm seeing details in those...

Re: '52 Ford F-2 215 OHV

After some digging, I found a second bolt holding the distributor down; so two 1/2" hex bolts. There are two 1/4 " allen screws just to the left, or behind, the distributor mount. One horizontal;...

Gentlemen,
I'm still trying to get this truck started. I guess I need a battery. This one will barely turn the engine over w/o spark plugs after sitting two days after a full charge. It's got...

Re: 1952 Ford F-2 w/ 215 OHV

Thanks for the replies. Glad to see some 215s are out there, running happily.

First, I think I've got a 1bbl Holley 1904 w/ the glass bowl; but the numbers I see on the fuel inlet are : AG...
