I have always used the composite gasket. First the old Felpro’s , now the Best.
Never had trouble either. The key is flat flat flat
The composite is definitely harder to remove.

The tank wont fall through. It’s paint bubbling from most likely, gas drippings. It will have to be repainted. Not sure of what’s involved, like does the tank need to be pulled.

I agree it could be the axle hole. Either way, you need to take it apart and determine what’s worn! You WILL get a death wobble if you keep driving it as is!

I doubt it was because he forgot cotter pins. I don’t have pin in my rods. No little second lock nuts either. He forgot to torque them!

Sounds like a start. Do they show jet orfice flowtesting criteria? With a zenith, I have had to open the high speed jet.

It sounds lean to me. Have you opened up the GAV when it starts popping to see if it runs a little better? Be sure to let us know what the solution is.
