Or...re-sandblast the frame; no need to remove the coating that's on there, but sandblasting will provide a good 'tooth' for your desired paint system to adhere to.

Actually, the pump you have, although it resembles Drakes pump, will be far superior. By all accounts, Drakes pumps [made in China], do not allow the fuel fittings to seat, resulting in leakage etc. ...

It's always tight that RH side in RHD. There are different styles of manifold depending on the year. Like 8BA for example will exit forwards at the front. 32-36 exit in line with the front ex port....

I feel the earlier helmet distributors are better on 12 jolts than the crabs. The crab caps seem to develop carbon tracking leading to mis-firing etc.

Information; they have real thick cylinder walls.
They displace 239 cu inches, run a two hole per journal crank, with shell bearing con rods. These are NOT the same as 8BA version.

'35 brake shoes/ drums are 1 3/4" wide as opposed to the earlier models that were 1 1/2". 35 drums are ribbed, earlier models aren't

Are you sure that's a 40 hub? I thought all hubs 36-48 ran a sleeve 68-1236A with the 68-1225A roller bearing, which is smaller in dia than the earlier style B-1225A roller bearing 28-36, which ran...
