Unique bearing install
My ‘47 59AB is out for a rebuild and I received some photos of the bottom end. My engine builder has never seen this type of bearing use.
Looks like main bearings used as rod bearings. Ha anyone...

So, consensus is that it is a later 40's motor, possibly commercial. Canadian car so no surprise about the "C" designation.
The comment regarding water pumps makes ask if there are specific part...

My first thought is a late 50's hemi - max. 354 cu in. Inspiration comes from Don Garlitts. His museum has a couple of 40's in his personal collection in Ocala. They are stunning.
