I just replaced a shut off valve yesterday that had been on the car for 2 years and not had 5 gallons of gas through it. Took it apart to find an "O" ring was the sealing method. Not well built....

OK. I have been able to adjust the door --- mostly. It still sticks. I have noted that I need shims for the striker. It seems that the latch may be what is sticking. I bought an aftermarket latch....

Thanks for the assist. I could reach the latch from inside the car. Small taps on the wheel broke it loose and door opened. My lucky day!!

Angry door stuck shut

While replacing door latch on the drivers door on a Victoria and adjusting mechanism on the body, the door is now stuck shut. Any suggestion?

I did have to remove exhaust manifold because there was no other way. Fortunately it had been off before I got the car and all the bolts came off without problems. The only issue with reassembly was...

All sounds pretty much straight forward. I currently have everything disconnected but it looks like I would have to remove the exhaust manifold. Waiting for help to arrive at this point and will...

Just picked up a T85C -1A with R11 OD and I believe 2 T86 w/ R10 OD. Will be checking for length and shaft diameters. Should be interesting!

I have already adjusted the steering box per shop manual. Apparently the car is an early '56. The top looks like the left picture.

Just figured out that the box in my car has a problem; dead spot near the center. Already replaced tie rods and rebuilt drag link. My concern is for safety. Just got the car and it now drives great...

I looked again at the transmission. It does have the shifter on the side and the cover is rectangle.

I am thinking about going with at least a period correct transmission. Just curious what I currently have. It is marked AB-1222-B or 1 or B1. also marked A89 in another spot.

order of assembly

I am building a '30 Roadster from the ground up. Is there a guide to correct of of assembly? I am sure I can put it together but I would prefer to do it 1 time vs multiple sections multiple times...

Working on a stock '35 Flathead. Sent leaking water pumps out to be rebuilt. Planning to replace radiator hoses and thermostats. The thermostats I've seen so for that match what CAME OUT OF THE CAR ...
