Re: carb leaking gas, what did I do wrong?

I was really hoping to attend a car show happening this Sat... would it be a good idea to drill a tiny hole in the float (just to get the gas out), then patch it up with some gas tank repair epoxy...

Re: carb leaking gas, what did I do wrong?

Thanks Charlie!... I’m going to open the top of the carb once more to check that the valve/needle is seating correctly, and that the float is controlling the fuel correctly...

I’m hoping it’s an...

Re: Which fuel fittings?

Fair point, but I'd like to have the fitting in hand before starting the job of draining the tank and and removing the old connection. I guess I can just order them both! :-)

Which fuel fittings?

The connection from the copper fuel line to the newly installed gas tank in my '38 Ford standard has a small drip no matter how much I try to tighten it. I'm thinking the old fitting is no longer...

Re: Bob Drake fuel sending unit / customer service

On top of that, I'm now noticing there is a slow leak/drip at the drain plug on the bottom of the tank that makes my whole garage smell like gasoline. I checked the bolt with a wrench and it's super...

Bob Drake fuel sending unit / customer service

I ordered a gas tank from Bob Drake, which required that I buy their sender unit also. The shop that installed the tank said the sending unit was pretty stiff and they tried to make it move as...
