Neither would do that. The closes option would be replating.

Guess I am not seeing how using some sort of fakey film would be any different then replacing the mirror? Don't know of any film that would give the reflective view that would or should be needed for...

The coil rebuilder I found charges 40 per coil. Just seems like at $160, I could find a modern replacement without too much problem. I'm just not finding that replacement. ???

LOL Well Olson's carries T head gaskets but not the type they are looking for! If you are looking for a new gasket for your Thunderbolt 28 Chevrolet conversion, they are the go to supplier.

What is the compression, have you checked it?
Do you have good fuel flow too and out of carb?
When was the last time the coils were serviced?
Have you check for vacuum leaks?

When the drums are sold as just drums, they are NOT sized to just install and run. They need to be sized and trued AFTER assembled to hubs. If this has not been done, the drums not the shoes would...
