While on a tour a freinds car started running rough. We found that he burned a valve.

What do you guys use or recommend for a valve spring compressor? Thee spring compressor I have doesn't seem to...

This is correct, towards the front. I don't believe it would make any difference operation wise, but it would be a bitch to get to if the rear ones were at the backing plate.

If the throttle plate isn't closing all the way the idle mixture screw will have no effect on how it runs.

It gets confusing, one vendor sells low temp grease, another sell high temp grease. Wouldn't low temp grease get "washed away" easily, resulting in no lubrication?
