2 wide fives - ready for paint

Correct "swan" neck shifter rod?
Guys, I've been told that my '39 1/2 Ton should have a unique to '39 transmission shift rod. Is this so? If so, is this readily available somewhere or do I have to have mine bent?

Lawson, nope I did the best I could by gently tapping the dents through the stamping until they were basically gone. Then I used the "straw wheel" buffer that I have. It brought back the stainless...

Thanks for all the comments. To get the blue V-8 symbol painted, I applied a fairly thick layer of paint that would "set inside" the stamping, not paying too much attention to the lines at that...
