Re: 1938 Firestone whitewall tire pressure

Whwn I worked in a service station back in the dark ages, mid to late 40s, it was 32 lbs in 600 x 16s. When newer tires came out, I've forgotten the term they used for them, low pressure? it was 28...

Re: Anyone use these drill/tap all in one?

I have found that most tools made to do more than one thing are as useless as tits on a bore hog. Drill your hole with a drill bit. Tap your threads with a tap.

Re: 1936 Overheating Problem

All of the above is good advice but premature IMHO. You say, right off that you let the car idle for 20 minutes and you got steam etc out of the overflow tube st the bottom of the radiator. You have...

Re: Upper Steering Column Bearing

Get the "Brucegard" (I think is his name). That is probably the one on Amazon. Far superior to the wheel barrow bearings. Well worth the money. I have his bearing in my 35 Pickup Icon. Lawson.

Re: Wood floor stiffener hardware

No hardware other than bolts and T-nuts. Check with whoever took over from Roy Nacewicz. Wasn't that Third Generation Auto. Mike Driskell? (Help an old man out here folks. LOL)

Re: Wildfire evacuation

Sorry to hear this. The tree huggers out there need to learn that it is necessary to cut underbrush to prevent this sort of thing. Stay safe. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Re: Head skimming: Any tips?

Take it to a good reliable machine shop and 'splain what you want done. Couldn't be all that much trouble or money. Some things are better paid for than experimenting with yourself. My 2˘.

Re: Radiator Cap

DMMuri did not ask about a pressure cap, he asked about a gasket. Is not the part of an original cap that seats against the radiator cap called, and in fact is a gasket?

Re: stainless molding

Texting while driving is stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, and constitutes a death wish. If you wanna kill yourself, go right ahead, but think of the folks you may crash into and kill.

Re: Types of 6 volt sealed beam headlights
