He’s located about 20 miles from me in Rialto, CA. I can save on the shipping!

Karl,

Are those the top irons you are producing? If so, how much are they and how do I get a pair? Send me a PM if you prefer.

Werner,

In your picture, what are the two tools to the right and left of the “adjustable wrench” which is referred to as a “monkey wrench” in the U.S.?

Re: Terms?

You’re over thinking this.

I’ve never heard people with V-8 or 6 cylinder engines refer to their engines as Bangers. It’s normally a term used by car guys so you wouldn’t find anyone with a one...

Re: Terms?

I agree with Flop, Jack and Bob C. that the the term “4 Banger” shortened to “Banger” refers to a modified 4 cylinder engine. Jim Brierley’s book which deals with his experience in the modification...

Re: 1930-31 Steering Wheel installation

I believe Marshall got tired of being criticized unfairly by some people on this board, that’s why he sends private messages. I don’t blame him for not wanting to have to endlessly justify his posts....

Re: Slamming into first gear

I agree with Chuck. It’s easy to forget to retard the idle after the engine warms up.

I also like to gently push the gearshift down so you can feel when it’s ready to go into first gear rather...

Re: Anyone Ever Built or Even Seen, An Original type Greasing Pit?

I noticed the mechanic in the picture was wearing a leather “beanie” or skull cap and coveralls.

When I was growing up in the late ‘40’s, there was a rental house across the street from our house...

Re: wet floor 30 A rumble seat area

It would probably easier to use a wet/dry vacuum.

I’m sure I would have a real problem washing my roadster, especially since I don’t have side curtains. The previous owner told me it was newly...

Re: Devastating Blow

I agree. If the BMW had hit the Model A I think the Model A would have landed in the ditch.

I think the Model A drifted into the path of the BMW and forced it into the ditch because the Model A...

Terry,

Thank you for your very thorough description of the production process and what to expect in the final product.

From what I’ve read, all the machining will be done so the block will be...

Re: Early '28 hood question

Put it on Craig’s List or E-Bay with an exorbitant price and see if you can reel in a hot rodder. The market will set the price.

Re: 1930-31 fan shroud ?

From what I’ve read from discussions on this forum, the fan shroud increases the ability of the fan to draw air through the radiator at slow speeds. The shroud does not provide much benefit when the...
