If you look in the plug hole watch the valve operation, as the exhaust just is about closed the intake will just start opening, when you have both valves equally just a little open the piston should...

Worn throttle shaft, and sides of butterfly worn will make a higher than normal idle to have airflow across idle passage

It depends on how bad, could have no spark, only one spark, a lot of sparking and burning of the points, backfiring, loss of power on hot restarts tin cools some, shutting off when hot

I used to have a 39, and a 46, was working on the brakes too often, a little leak and the shoes were contaminated causing pull, and total brake failures, got tired of it, now have the A(no brake...

I took the windings out of original alone with the metal core, drilled a hole in the relay frame and pressed in a used diode from a first generation delco alternator,been fine for over 40 years

go to one of the auto parts stores , some will "test" battery and charging system, usually part of the test will be a diode test, "ripple" or ac mixed with the DC reading

all the 28-34 four cylinder generators will interchange as complete assembly

to use long taper shaft with short taper pulley you need a spacer, to use long taper pulley on short taper generator it...

drain the coolant down enough to see the top of the radiator core, look at the tops of the tubes, see how many have something obstructing them, also look for tubes that still have liquid in them...

Which bowl do you have, 3 choices, there is one with glass bowl, one with all cast iron, both of these on the firewall, and in late 31 one on the carb ----

I found that a unworn shock will near lock up in the rebound direction, but still moves in the compression direction with a closed needle valve with light oil, using the weight and timing different...

I have a 80s Ricks "show quality script coil"---- script can over Japan oil filled coil, been mounted terminals down for over 30 years, very strong spark, no leaks, many years drive MGB, the Lucas...
