Yes that is a "303" , very strong and a favorite among the Muscle Cars of that era - GM used them for a few years until they were able to develop a 3 speed that would with stand a full throttle...

Take a good look at the ratios between the gears - Some of them can be quite long and makes for awkward shifting in some situations - Also the gears are thinner than the Ford muscle car toploaders...
