That motor I believe is not ford notice the pivot arm its straight fords were curved. You may not get a correct sweep

Offset gen bracket off 8ba nice shape the band seems a little distorted with a slight bend.And tough pivoting needs oil asking 35 dollars shipped.And a set of thermostat housing cast 15 dollars...

yes i have tried both ways i have tried just the internal got hot then tried external with ballast resister and got hot when i run the the internal coil i am not using a ballast resister
