Re: ID air filter please

Look on the underside (be careful not to spill oil all over yourself); does it have the straight mounting flange (car) or the "V"-shaped one (truck).

Gosh, I know so little about the "new" stuff,...

Re: ID air filter please

John, While I am confident this filter will fit many years and many models, it appears it is correct for '49 - 53 Ford.

Re: 1940 Ford convertible body tags

I did note the screws which I find difficult to believe are authentic. However, there's no real way to know whether or not they are.

Re: 1940 Ford convertible body tags

A friend of mine sent this photo of a very "original" '40 convertible with a body number tag.
I believe we can at minimum agree that there was no 100% "rule" of what bodies were numbered in 1940 and...

Re: Do you think there will be another V-8 National meet?

I've enjoyed both Dearborn and Auburn meets numerous times.
Dearborn is always a "home coming" of sorts to me. It is the "big daddy" of the national shows and if I am not mistaken, it is supposed...

Re: 1939 Woody Radiator Installation

Two pair of holes? That isn't correct.
The proper placement will only matter to the fitment of the hoses.
The fenders and grille do not intersect with the radiator. Nor do the air deflectors. ...

rare SQUARE '39 / early '40 VOLTAGE REGULATOR

This is an authentic voltage regulator for all '39 Ford, Merc and Lincoln vehicles.
If judging points matter to you, this is the piece you need. Most guys don't realize the rectangular regulator...

I can see where the photo may make that appear to be so, but rest assured, it's the 85/95 HP intake.
A photographer, I am not :)

I do know the history of Grancor but zero...
