Re: Painting carbs
I use por-15. It's like brush on powder coating. Gas will never harm it.

Re: Tire Logo's
Believe the js says that the silver stripe on the goodyear was not visible once it was mounted but does mention the red stripe on firestone's being seen. The high point cars I've been around have it....

Re: Biker's
Model A'ers and bikers like to drive on the same type of roads. I often look at motorcycle touring websites to get tour ideas for our club.

Re: 30 grille shell
If you call him, he normally has beautiful cowl bands, bumper clamps, and restored original gas/radiator caps that go on so much better than reproduction.

Re: 30 grille shell
Don't have his number on me but I bet someone else on here can list it. You want to call Doug Bruce in New York. He's the go to guy for Model A stainless pieces. All are restored originals and look...

Re: Soon to be a Model A owner
Hi from Dallas. There is a panhandle A's club but they are a little hard to find and not very active. Maybe a google search might bring up something. I know they would love to see a new face.

Re: Side Curtain Rods
I know flat is correct on 30/31 but can't help you on 28/29. A&L sells a great set that even has the original letter codes stamped in them for right front, left front etc

Shipping large parts at Hershey
I'm planning on buying a rear fender this year at Hershey and am wondering how I'm going to get it home. I know there's the UPS store in town but doubt they have a box big enough. I live in Texas and...

Re: Right hand steer air filter ideas
They are right, the place in New Zealand makes a beautiful filter for the rhd. They can be a little slow to respond but they have all kinds of cool stuff for rhd A's.

Re: YOM Plates
Here in Texas, its really easy to use yom plates. The state originally issued two plates, so we still have to use two. Here in Texas, the plates are actually stamped "front" or "rear" even.

Re: Rear Wheel Well Paint Color
Maybe I'm wrong but I think the judging standards says that ford specified the satin black be painted on all the rear wheel wells. However, some assembly plants ignored that and original cars have...

It's only about 15 minutes away but you can get pretty good room rates in Harrisburg. It's also close to the airport. Three cheers for Hershey!

Re: Open Car door sound deadening
My 30 phaeton has that stuff in the doors. Horse hair? Knowing Henry Ford, wouldn't be surprised if it was a recycled item like protection for parts out of a wood crate. I just stuck small sheets of...
