With your steering wheel centered the steering arm on the bottom of the box should be pointing straight back. If this is not the case then the worm is out of alignment with the key or keyed spline...

Try contacting shoebox central in Oklahoma. They will know what you need andmay even have one or a source for it. I know these are reproduced so not sure if individual parts are available.

While the numbers do mean something the needle action tells most of the story. If you use it to adjust timing just keep moving the distributor until you get the highest vacuum reading. You'll see...

take a piece of duct tape and wrap it around the bulb. Flatten the excess at the top and you have something to grab onto that is not glass. Really handy when you cannot get your fingers on the bulb.

Your valves appear to be tight. You have two choices if the motor is running well otherwise. Leave it alone until it gets worse or take it apart and put new rings in it. Of course upon disassembly...

I insert a guide with a retainer and spring and use a regular pilot. Michael Driskell told me he just drives in a knurled guide. Wish I had access to an accurate lathe so I could make one up.

Yes, this looks to be correct. I put it in the vice and spin it with a drill motor and use an ohm meter to make sure it is working. You can take the top off to inspect the points.
