Had the problem with my wide whites. Used Super Clean (purple cleaner) and a bristle brush and cleaned it away. Also try Simple Green, 409, Fantastic

You don't need a by-pass circuit - just a electric pump that has a flow through feature.

As far as torque specs for any given bolt, look up general torque specs and use the spec for the size and thread count of what you have.

If you want to put dual exhausts on a 239, the later 55 and 56 manifolds should work ok. In a stick car, you have to change the Z bar (clutch cross bar) to a 55 or 56 unit.. It has a slight curve...
