A&L Connecticut
I was on the MTFCA form and they are saying that A&L moved to NJ. And isn’t selling to the public anymore. Has anyone hear anything about this?

I think I’m getting closer to a safer model a. The sway is getting 75% better. With all of the adjustments I’ve been doing it’s getting better. So far I found the LR backing plate was lose....

Hello all
I removed the rear drums. Tighten up the backing plates. Re-torqued the rear axle nuts to 90 lbs. Tire pressure is still at 45lbs. It seams to be better. But still a little sway going on...

No I didn’t over tighten the nuts. They were a little too loose so I I just put a full turn and pinned it. Then grease.
Tomorrow I’m pulling the drums.

I just tried what you said to do. I put a wrench on the nuts and they were hand tight ,but the cotter pin‘s are staying in place when I turn The nut. I removed the Cotter pins and got a few turns on...

I already have one on my car I just gave a new model a owner my spear marvel Schreiber carburetor he likes it and he won’t give it back:D So I’m looking to replace mine at his coast :)

I had the same problem after a rebuild. I removed paint from the seam Cleaned the area well and put a light coating of Permatex PX 90min Right Stuff on it it’s been fine for a year now :D
