I make them out of aluminum and polish. Small screws mount them from the backside
Originals were plated pot metal.
I don’t really know what water plating is.....maybe I live under a rock!

The USPS used to give a lesser rate if it was a magazine or book; don’t know if that’s still exists. I wouldn’t pay $14.50 either; that should mail for $6+-
