I think I have a can of this as well. I can,t go any further until the seal comes in the mail, so I think i will spend Saturday at the Waterdown show and swap meet.

Ok Bruce, I used a hardwood dowel as a punch- I gave it a few taps and the zinc retainer came out easy as pie! The backside of the retainer against the flywheel was covered in oil. I am assuming...

Bruce, thanks for the link. It was helpfull. I have defintley confimed that this zinc holder is part of my engine.I hope to try this by the end of the week and will post the outcome.

Yes ,my upper seal is already out. I will try itagain when the new seal comes in the mail.I appreciate the feed back and will post the results. I don't think it will be before the weekend

our 46 ford pickup has a warped bottom centre pulley, that we assume is attached to the crank shaft. the front centre of the pulley seems to have a connection in it used for hand cranking or starting...

we drove our 46 pickup!!!!!!
we took the box off the frame because it was just on loose and after tightening up some oil line connections that leaked we decided to try and put our 46 in action! Here are some pics of us driving...
