Re: Model T&A era only Car Show in CT

This was a great show last year! I won't be able to make it this year as I'll be travelling, but for those that are in the area and haven't been to the show, I took a lot of pictures last year. I...

Re: Cracked Head - Yikes.

Thanks for your thoughts and comments everyone. A bit of work in front of me still but I appreciate your words of wisdom. I'll be relieved when she's back up and running.

Re: Cracked Head - Yikes.

tbird - I will take a look over the cooling system (I have an experienced Model A guy in the area who helps with my car, so I'll have him look it over as well). I think looking for any blockages is...

Re: Cracked Head - Yikes.

Good point...I'll be sure to check that line as well. I was thinking of replacing that petcock as well, so that in the future I don't think "well sometimes it leaks, so that must be where are the...

Re: Cracked Head - Yikes.

Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions Mitch. The radiator is usually good. Occasionally it will bubble out if I'm not paying attention going up a hill. Other times it would leak where the tubes...

Cracked Head - Yikes.

Hey guys,

I've been sort of MIA for a while, my car's been running great, and I sort of stopped checking in on the posts day to day to limit how much I was spending on improvements to the car. I...

I'm planning on going to Klingberg this year. Heard great things about it in the past. I should have my A there as well. I'll look for you Paul!

Re: Vacuum Wiper rebuild needed? Or something else?

This was a highly, non technical way of fixing mine, but I did take mine apart and oiled everything up. It wasn't too difficult and I got to see how it all worked. I cleaned the insides and oiled...

I just wanted to drop a quick note of thanks to all you guys. I don't post a ton on here but try to read almost every post to learn as much as I can. I have had a timing issue for a little while...

Hahahah! I definitely agree with 10 and 17! Sometimes I remember to do both of those but forget to turn the key (pretty embarrassing)! Starting a Model A is much more complicated than driving a new...

Re: Car Club

Hey LSJUNIPER when does the club meet? I've seen them at the Woodstock Fair a few years, and always mean to join but never do. The people I've met have all been really cool.

Re: Experimental Map of FB "Model A" People Locations

I love the idea! Can you add me to the map? The car moves around a bit, but you can base me out of Stafford Springs, CT.

Thanks!

Re: CT Model T&A Show at the Cider Mill

Let's see how the next few weeks go, but if I can find a way to get it over this side of the river and it's running well, we can maybe cruise down together (if you're interested). Safety in numbers!...

Re: CT Model T&A Show at the Cider Mill

You'd take yours down Rt 8? That terrifies me! I'm used to driving the quiet corner, with mostly two lane, 45 mph roads.

Are you driving down from New Britain?

Re: CT Model T&A Show at the Cider Mill

Hoping to make it this year! Not sure I'll get my car there though. It's in northeast CT. I drove my car to Milford last year and it took me about 5 hours (with an hour break along the way). I...

Re: Does anyone use this?

Interesting. I was told by someone that I consider a "Model A Expert" that I should be using oil for diesel oil since it had the zinc in it. Thanks for passing this on!

Beautiful pictures! Thanks for taking the time to throw them up here for us. With the rain date I had to miss the show (mom had to come first...)
