Re: What color to paint repro Winfield 7:1 head?

Benson & Ruth
The distributor is from a 1979 Honda Civic. I had to machined the bottom of the body slightly to fit into the head. The shaft was then cut to length and the tab machined on the end....

Re: JC Whitney now carparts.com?

Many years ago I had a 1956 Corvette. They managed to get a pair of Hooker side pipe headers for the car. I never saw them for sale or even listed anywhere else. It did take about 3 months to get...

Re: Modern one piece valve guide removal

I removed the guides as Brent suggested. They came out with no problems. Before I installed the new guides, I machined the reduced diameter from the the end back until I was close to where the old...

Re: Modern one piece valve guide removal

Re: Solution for audio system in model A?

I used a 2000-2004 Subaru Outback under seat subwoofer. It uses speaker level inputs and a 12v supply. It turns on when the signal comes in the inputs.

Re: Hot water heat?

Here's a heater I put under the front seat in my Sport Coupe. My son welded up the box and we cut down a later pickup heater core to fit. The air comes out at about 175F. The outlets are air vents...

Re: 6 volt horn in 12 volt vehicle

I agree with Tom. With the resistor it started slower because of the higher starting current and when it got running it sped up as the running current is lower. It only took me about one hour to...

Re: Orange Wheel Powder Coat Color

I got mine from Eastwood. It's listed as "Chevy Orange - 10098" Sorry for using a dirty word! My wheels have been painted since 2000 and have no chips yet. I have over 20,000 miles on them.
