1940 style generator rear end plate.

I found an old 41 Ford generator with a cast iron rear end plate. What I have seen, in the past, is the white metal die cast end plate. The cast iron end plate does have the 01A- Ford part number....

The 35 drive shaft has a different number of splines at the diff. side so does the pinion. I have a set of 35 style gears in my 34 Diff case with the back of the drive shaft modified and shortened...

Exactly what I do, remove just the inner metal shield. Do not block any of the oil holes and use a modern seal for the front bearing retainer. Lube the input shaft a little bit of grease in the area...

Typically with the older body number plates like 1936 the tag starts with the model identification followed by the body type number and then the number in sequence built in the model year by the body...

The band is very pronounced it is part of the gear metal it has no other purpose except identification. Post a photo of your gear if still unsure.

NAPA sometimes sells plug wire (Wire core such as Packard 440) so they may also have rubber boots, if not Brillman sells wire, terminals and boots.

Ford published a voltage and generator manual in about 46 with the voltage regulator adjustments. There are a couple on Ebay now.

Yes the horns do have an armature! The moveable piece of a solenoid can be called several things, armature is one.
It appears someone has modified the adjustment and removed the two adjustment...

Good spot welds (not tack welds) in several positions, usually no need for a washer since the pin is not supposed to turn.

022A-7113-A, -B and 21C-7113. -A has a recess on one end for a thrust washer, -B uses an oblong hole thrust washer...

The V8 club classified has a recent ad from Bill C. He has a pair of 35-36 adjustable rear shocks for sale. Send him an email I am not sure of the condition but they look good in photos.

35 engine used the 48 Carb. which is slightly larger. The reason Ford went to the he 97 was better economy.
