In my experience this is true - over time it finds or makes leaks. Had a 2000 Honda that I ran synthetics oil in. After about 8 months I developed a leak that mechanics said was the rear made n seal...

Much of the old acrylic is no more I am told and it’s more urethane enamel now but still single stage. Regardless, I just shot my first vehicle with the cheap HF $18 paint gun and paint from TCP...

I thought of putting in a cardboard headliner in my not-so-stock 40 pickup but I went rogue instead ....
Just teasing - when installed nicely, the cardboard headliner really looks good. But here...

You should be just fine - I have a fender less 5-window with just the lower door seals and windlace. It’s dry, certainly not air tight, but I also have a heater just in case !

The cheap Harbir Freight gun at about $16 is a great gun - check out the YouTube’s on it ..... it’s very nearly as good as the much more expensive ones. It just cannot be used like a pant shop would...
