Re: Original color

Black primer was common. Look behind your kick panels as you will usually see traces of the original paint. Also check the trunk area (braces, etc.)

Re: Interior panels

Are you looking for just the bare panels or panels with the upholstery? Check with Cartouche as they may have both.

Re: 1940 ford rear suspension add ons

Re: 1940 ford rear suspension add ons

Toss the single leaf and put a stock spring in the back. Get rid of those coils that are around the shocks.

Re: 32 3W female door guides

As I recall some of the cars have a metal tang at the back of the housing. A small hole in the back of the wedges fits onto the tang. Not sure if this applies to your 3 window or not but if it does...

Re: 1940 Ford 1/2 ton interior kits

Check with Quiet Ride Solutions (www.quietride.com) as they make all the panels needed for the '40 pickup. You might also check Cartouche interiors which is a division of Mac's.

Re: cabriolet vs roadster- 1936

Ronn, take a look at e-Bay and on the left menu look at the sold cars and those where the auction ended. You can be specific on the search and just look at 1936 Fords. Also look at a website called...

Re: 32 3W female door guides

As I recall they should snap into place. Push them back as far as they will go and push downward at the same time.

Re: 40 ford truck window regulators

It may not be the regulators. The window could be binding up in the door due to the original channel being worn or missing. Remove the steel inspection panel on the doors and unscrew the regulator...

Re: What would you do 42-48 1/2 ton p/u

Re: hayden automotive 3647 adjustable thermostatic fan control

You can fix that fan so you can turn it on manually when you need it. Mount a manual switch and run the hot wire to the switch and one from the switch to the fan.

Re: Hot Fordy

If this car has sat for a long time I suspect the radiator could be plugged. Drain the coolant down where you can see the tubes inside and see if you see any crud in them. Cars that sit for a long...

Re: New Car- New Member- LOTS of questions!

Put a decent tire on the spare just in case your cell phone does not work in an area where you are stranded. Don't forget a jack and lug wrench.

Re: Winfield Tool KRW Hub Puller

Sorry i got the two mixed up. Vintage Precision is the one in Benecia and is the supplier of the hub puller. I borrowed a friend's some time ago and it works great. Worth every penny.
