Re: Snyder's New Catalog Came...and a Warning!
I think everyone is a parts hoarder in some way. When I was in my early 20's I lived near Newark Ca. while attending college and they had one recylcling yard after another out near the bay. I would...

Re: spark plugs
I have the Autolite 3076 in my AA and never had trouble. I don't drive it fast, but they stay clean and it always starts right up.

Re: Henry and Edsel
This is true. Even though Edsel had terminal stomach cancer, many sources say that Edsel actually died of fever brought on by the bacteria in the milk. Henry encouraged that Edsel drink the...

Re: Henry and Edsel
I saw a documentary on Henry Ford. He was very hard on Edsel...probably harder on him than a regular employee. Edsel was a drinker and liked to have people over socializing at his house. Henry used...

Re: Jazz Age '28 Sport Coupe on Hemmings Auction
You are probably right Brent, the people bidding on this car probably think it looks "cool" which it does but they would be disappointed when they try to drive it for the first time and can't stop...

Re: Positive ground tach
I hooked up my old Sears engine analyzer from the "70's to my model A truck and it worked just fine. Tach and dwell. I think I just reversed the leads so that the black clip went to the coil and red...

Re: What head is this?
I was trying to figure out what that pump was below the alternator, then I saw the A/C blower unit in the cabin. Are these common? Seems like a big draw on a low HP engine. How much could the fancy...

Re: Model A Marine Engine?
Here's a brochure of engine models. I think they offered the model A engine up through the 1950's.

Re: Model A Marine Engine?
I was so intrigued by that model A marine engine that I looked up the stats. It was used by Chris Craft back in the day and put out a whopping 60 HP at 3200 RPM. It was succeeded by the B engine but...

Re: Hot Rod Engine
What kind of horsepower would something like that put out? I guess anything above the stock 20 HP would be noticeable. I like the water jacket.

I too have Paul to thank for getting me interested in Model A's... and Model T's as a matter of fact. He did a video comparing the two cars. I find his videos easy to relate to. Now, I just need to...

At least the A has a better suspension than the Harley. Preparation H was from the thirties too. Hardtail Harley...they put the "H" in preparation H.
