Re: Head puller For the model A

I came up with 2 old rusty C-4 plugs. After soaking a few days with Kroil, I was able to remove the threaded insulator retaining bushings with an impact wrench. I still had to use a hammer to...

Re: Head puller For the model A

I'm not understanding a couple of things.
1. In the first picture of the write--up, the bolts that come up through the spark plug "shells" will spin freely. How do you tighten the nuts (above the...

Re: Oil Pump Stuck

The motor is in the car and would prefer not pulling it to get the plug out. The plug was 1/8" NPT which I believe is correct. What about using a left hand bit with a diameter smaller than the...

Oil Pump Stuck

Someone in the past used a square head pipe plug in the side of the block. It was in there tight and needed a good heft with a wrench to remove it . In the process the very end of the plug broke...

The front motor mount stud is not centered side to side in the hole in the cross member. Because of the offset, the smaller diameter of the bronze bushing will not seat in the hole by less than 1/4"....

I'm rebuilding some Marvel carbs as well. Are the choke and throttle plate screws the same size as Zenith? If not, do you know the size?
