No thermostat, and I'm sure that was a contributing factor, but without pressurization, it only would get warm, not hot.

I had a hot water heater in my '29 Model A standard coupe and it seldom had enough heat to warm the cab. Non-pressurized systems don't get warm quickly, or at all, in very cold weather, and that was...
