Re: 6 volt, positive ground boost help?

I had the same issue, in my 53' Merc when I turned the fog/running light on, so I chnaged the bulbs to LED's (minimal draw). Just a thought.

Re: Source for origional 53' Mercury trim clips

The only issue, is that the screws would go directly into the top material behind the body. The reason I am replacing the old ones, is that they were incorrect and I am having a new Stayfast top put...

Re: Source for origional 53' Mercury trim clips

The clips are a press fit, in the hole, on the side of the body. Then the trim piece slides over them.MAC's might have them I need to call Monday to get measurements.

Source for origional 53' Mercury trim clips

Who would be a good source for the original rear window trim clips, on a 1953 Mercury Convertible. I would guess the same clips would have been use on all other models to include Ford.

Re: We live in truly amazing times!

Thank you all for your input. As deuce_roadster pointed out, it appears that having the part cast, is the most direct and simplest way to go, at this time, not to mention the most cost effective way....

I am going to look into both sides of this:

1. Having the original handle scanned, to make to create a 3D electronic file. Then the cost of having it 3D printed, with a metal (not sure what is...

Re: We live in truly amazing times!

Could you list a few please? I would like to get a few quotes to have a back up convertible top handle made. They are pot metal and do break easily, and rarely come up on e-bay.

Thank you.

Re: Trickle charger for 1926 roadster pickup

Even though I use the Battery Tender, it would be nice to have a readout as to the amount of charge. Wonder if there is a gauge you could add to the Battery Tender?

Re: Trickle charger for 1926 roadster pickup

Read through the postings above, I think it should answer your question. My recommendation is Battery Tender, see the last set of posts above.

Re: Steering Wheel Covers

Pipe insulation, then install the wheel cover over it. If the wheel cover goes completely around it, you will never see the insulation. It should give you the feel of a padded steering wheel.

Re: engine analyzer questions

Try using a 12 volt source to power it, then do the normal hook up. I will watch for your reply, if that doesn't work I will do a video on mine (since they appear to be the same unit), and post it.

Re: Camera Recommendations for Recording Model A Suspension

Re: engine analyzer questions

I have what appears to be, the same one, but I usually power it with a 12 volt battery, next to the car. For dwell I use a handheld unit, it is just easier.

Just make sure the housing is plastic, to avoid grounding issues.
