Re: So you have an all original car...OK...
At some point that original model A will need to have something done. I look at it as many historical sites in a state of preservation, doing and replacing things as closely to original as possible....

Re: 1928 Canadian Tudor
Here are some pics of what I found to lead to the conclusion I did. Also, I am wondering if anyone knows what the S and B stampings in the block deck surface may indicate...

Re: 1928 Canadian Tudor
I noticed the distributor bolt is missing and upon further inspection, realized the cast boss is broken off at the top and side of the head. So as I began to research replacement cylinder heads, I...

Re: Fuse....
I had a similar issue and found my horn wiring grounded as the leads to the brushes were touching the horn motor housing.

What do you carry with you?
Hello all! I thought I would ask all of you what extras you carry with you (if you do) when driving. I’m thinking of a small duffel bag to keep with me with some tools and extra ignition parts, belt,...

Re: Distributor Upper Contact Plate
Thanks for the response. I may just run a stamped version and seek to restore this one at a later time. It would appear that points have grown about 1/8 inch over the years too, so the contacts do...

Distributor Upper Contact Plate
I recently bought what appears to be a very original 1928 Canadian Tudor. As I have been going over things, I began to check ignition component clearances and noticed the points did not line up...

Re: Model A Light Switch
I found it. For those needing the actual pinouts, the center contact is the horn (blue and yellow), 12 o’clock is battery (yellow) and stop (green), 4 o’clock is bright (Black and green) 6 o’clock is...

Re: Model A Light Switch
My concern is that the “old” 4 contact plate is different from the 9 contact plate and without a pin out diagram, I cannot solder the new harness to the old contact plate.

Re: Model A Light Switch
Reviving an old post here. I need to solder the old 4 contact plate to a new harness, but the old wiring was already cut off the contact plate to compare to. Does anyone have a diagram of the...

Re: 1928 Canadian Tudor
Thanks for all the comments. Yeah it would appear it’s definitely a re-stamp and all the factory ones I’ve seen are straight as well. Thanks for the heads up on the screw too.

Re: 1928 Canadian Tudor
Yeah that’s what I was thinking too. I am wondering if since many Canadian A’s do not have a chassis stamp, depending on the equivalent to DMV office in the US, if Canada assigns a “VIN” of their own...

1928 Canadian Tudor
Hello all. I recently bought what seems to be a mostly original 1928 Canadian Tudor. It has a black Ford radiator shell emblem, square screw heads, and Ford script bumper clamp bolts only on the...
