It goes to the crank case, and appears to be 1/8" NPT. It looks like it will only just clear the lip of the oil pan as it makes it way into the crankcase. I am assuming it is the oil return but...

Thanks for the responses. I can confirm that there is no grub screw in the oil passage and that ports A and B are connected.
For the return line from the bypass oil filter, could someone please...
