Re: oil filters
What #2, and #3 said. If you could see how some of them are designed and made, oh my gosh! Engine Masters did a whole show on oil filters, and it was an eye opening experience. That program may...

Re: Ryan Overdrive
Are you a member of your nearest local Model-A chapter? The guys in your local club are likely always happy to stop by, look, and advise another Model-A owner.

Re: Another Find
Reminds me of the cover on the back of the pickup in Cool Hand Luke. The scene when his mother is brought to visit him while he is in prison.

Re: Cleaning the radiator
Some of these techniques in these comments are likely good maintenance every once in a while. How often depends on a few factors. One thing for sure, water pump grease sounds like a major culprit....

Re: Temperature Gauge Issue
I have had mixed results with the laser gun... Find a guy in your local club that has one of those thermometers you can drop in the radiator. Fill it up, and drop it in. Then compare the gage...

Re: Cleaning the radiator
Al these comments are good. I like the dishwasher soap thing, followed by vinegar, but I thing 72 to 48 hours is good. Especially if you take the car for a spin or two. Remember, any antifreeze...

Re: Sticking valves?
The people in your local club don't care if you have a running car, or a basket-case. If your car is broken, typically some of the guys will come over and help you figure out what the problem is...

Re: Seized motor/potentially overheated
The condensor (distributor) is heating up. Also, the keyed wire going into the base of the dist can be (screwed) in too far and do this too.
I don't quite understand why the thing is so tight. ...

Re: Henry and Edsel
Rotorwrench makes me think of something else. I guess Mercury was a little company that made modifications to a couple of car lines back in the day. Kinda like what Don Yenko did. Edsel liked the...
