I remember installing bypass lines from the oil gauge to the rocker arm shaft some how, was it through the valve cover ? Its been over forty years and my memory is not so good any more .

I don't blame you for not taking chances but when running any line that will be subject the vibration and or shaking should have a loop or have a coil in it to take up the movement. JMHO

Wow jrvariel48 I have a original copper line on my 59 corvette that I own for over fifty years and it hasn't broken yet. Yes I used a plastic line in my 34 and it did break or leak.

JM 35 sedan he is using a 33/34 pinion set up that includes the thrust washer in a 35 banjo. Please see 33/34 pinion set up. It's the only one with the thrust washer. It should not be confused with...

Probably metal fatigue once a piece lets go it will take out the others in the caged area. You got lucky it didn't ruin the cluster gear etc. etc.. Go buy a Lottery ticket. JMHO
