Went thru all the steps D.Rolston suggested and no luck getting fuel to the Carb.
Any more input would be welcome.

I just put a new fuel pump from Charlie Price at Vintage Speed and pump push rod in my 51 EAB stock flathead.
Push rod was bad. New Push rod from Van Pelt is 10.064 long for 49-53 EAB for cast iron...

well...No luck.
Is the cap on the the pump arm supposed to be crimped solid to the arm? the one I have
came very loosely fit on the arm and wants to turn at the slightest bump.

No way to tell but I think a cheep replacement fits the case. The top tip appears.to have a brass tip that shows wear. The he bottom (steel ) is worn a little concave. I will guess
that last owner...

After some PB blaster, twisting and pulling with a vise grip it came out. The bottom end was/is mushroomed. I forgot to tell you that the push rod is in an EAB
engine. A new EAB-9400-A is on its way...

the rod lifts up and down and twists freely by hand. It will not come out. ????

I can pull it up about a 3/4 inch and it sounds like it is hitting metal on metal. Should I force it up and out?

Can the fuel pump push rod on a 51 flat head be replaced with out taking the in take off? (stock engine) If so... How? It pulls up about 1/2 inch a seems to catch on ??? Something.

Out of all the "stop leak" products is there one that works better than others in your opinion? The leaks leave a +/- 12 inch drip area over time.

Fuel Pump doesn't pump fuel. I put in a new diafram and it still does not bring fuel up. What should be checked next/

Turns out the carb was one for a newer engine. I bought a new carb from Charlie Price in Florida. A Holly(Ford)
I need the adjust the idle mix. Is there a written, how to, on setting up this carb?...

So, after setting the 2(or 4) degree initial B.T.C, Is there another setting to be made for W.O.T? If so, how is that done?

My 49-51 shop manual calls out the Total Advance W.O.T. crankshaft Degrees is
17 min and 19 max. What does W.O.T. stand for??

my shop manual 1949-1951 under the "Ignition" heading lists 2 degrees BTDC with a 8BA-12127 Distributor.
I guess that would be a good starting point.....??

I am not sure that this Engine is a 51.

Heads are marked EAB/A203 on drivers side and EAB 33F on passenger side. Distributor is marked 8BA 12127. Carb marked FORD one side and ECG5 other.
