I have a 351W and I've taken the valve covers off several times. It is an easy job really. Just remember the bolts are 8"lbs torque and let the RTV sit for 24hrs before you start the engine up again....

I've got the inch and foot lbs torque wrenches but we didn't even get a chance to use them since we were hand threading them in when this bolt hole was found to be stripped.
