GAZ was model B engine the deck is uniquely shaped. I think the logo on the model A shown resembles an asian character over a crankshaft. I dont know if yokohama had its own foundry but it may be...

Im of the mind that the lash spec is a function of the lobe profile not what its pushing against. Altho engine temp is a consideration i dont think they ran any hotter

I think the differences are the case thickness is different depending on ratio to mesh properly with the drive gear on driveshaft

Those are for the earlier 33-35? Rear ends. Instead of tooling up for a different gear set the suppliers simply grind the bearing seating area on the late style gears for the smsller bearings. AFAIK...

Anyone familiar with ford rotunda shoe arcing grinder? It doesnt use a drum like the aamco machines.

Looks as tho someone jammed a dist hold down screw in there. Wrong threads. It wants a 1/8 pipe plug. It serves no purpose other than to plug the hole
