you must have the timing correct.....turn the engine over by hand till the mark lines up..then make sure your distributer is in correctly...very impotant that the distributer is installed where #1 is...

while working on my engine, on an engine stand, i accidenly tipped it over....broke the gen pully... if you have one of even the whole gen let me know cost etc,..Its for a 46 47 ford v8

A guy who does engins told me DO NOT use HD oil because it keeps the engine filings alway tearing at your engine....use an SAE oil and maybe 30 is good for most driving....

Where would be a good place to start looking for a solution to this....When I turn the ignition on ....the parking lights come on and the tail lights come on. Everything works fine i.e., the turn...

You have two problems..One the oil pressure gauge does not work, and seconfd the oil in the pan is not circulating.so the pump is bad..

A guy told me that if you paint any radiator with most any paint you will cause the vehicle to run hot...There is a special paint that allows the core to sort of breathe

You do NOT put oil in the filter. the oil will move thru a tube to the filter and back to the engine..Make sure you have at least 4 quarts of oil in the crank case, might even be five quartes...
