I think you will be better off if you just register it properly for its intended use. Specialty insurance is just that and might not save much in the long run.

New fluids, lube moving joints per owners manual, air up the tires, and clean any electrical contacts. I might have also forgotten something but others will want to help also.

Those too young won't remember rebuilt spark plugs, with new electrodes welded on to replace the worn ones. Things were rebuilt in the golden years. Maybe those still have some life.

I had a stuck plate not quite as tight but it was after a winter only. Couldn't free up, so after tearing things down I found mice had got in somehow (now I know) and peed on the parts enough to rust...

Radium is different, it is a glow in the dark product, but I think you should be able to find black light reactive paints at a craft store.

On my car the window riser handles are held on with a spring and pin with the trim escutcheon plate. If yours have a set screw use the locktite.
