I have had a rest day ,and stopped at a small locality (Wyandra)’ population less than 100.
I looked inside an old shearing shed,it still had a hand operated wool press and some old single cylinder...

Cooling system stock, t/stats in the top hoses.
I have put 1/2 litre oil in and lubed the generator and distributor ready for the trip back starting tomorrow....

I had the same vibe in my A, over years, it had a few different engines in, but still had the rib,it was worse with and empty fuel tank.
I too tried all things but found it was cracked rear engine...

I will settle for a KN filter for the time being, I want to go away in the 34 in the next month so I will forgo the bad looking filter as long as it works, and will try and sort out the original one...
