I use gloss black Rustoleum enamel . While its not necessary , I add hardener for appearance and durability .

If the starter bucks when attempting to start the engine , the initial timing is too advanced or the spark lever isn't properly retarded . I fully retard the spark lever when starting the engine ....

There will be a very noticeable loss in power before the exhaust manifold begins to turn red . I adjust the distributor cam so that the trailing edge of the rotor tip points at the number one contact...

Threaded radiator necks are available from some model A parts vendors .. Care must be taken if installing a radiator neck or the radiator shell won't fit .

I prefer a more powerful twelve volt electrical system . No wiring changes are needed as long as the system remains positive ground . When converting to twelve volts , I prefer to use a three OHM...

I would keep the mechanical brakes !!! Properly adjusted mechanical brakes will stop just as well or better . There is more to brake adjustment than adjusting the adjustment wedges at each wheel ....

If a person choses to use electronic ignition it is probably best to go ahead and buy two setups to begin with , then you would have parts to fix it with when ignition failure happens on the road ....

The reproduction hub caps have a ring around the outer circumference . The hubcaps with inner structure usually cant be straightened if bent .

The later Mallory dual point distributors that I use work good with the same condenser that is offered for the later V8 points .
