Re: 1932 Ford Frame - "false shaped panel"

Speaking of interesting metal work...Did you notice the top on the 5W Coupe in post #10? Is it me, or does it look a little "domed"? Perhaps it's just an optical illusion! Nice cars though!

Early 1932 Firewall

This is a nice early 1932 Ford firewall. No extra holes, very straight and has all the original D-nuts intact. There is light pitting that can be filled easily. The feet are very nice and...

Re: Instrument Panel Lamp

Ryan, Yes..the light mounts to the center screw in the dash rail. You place the mount on the center screw from behind the rail and add a nut. See the blue lines which point to the screw head and...

Re: Instrument Panel Lamp

Y-Blockhead & Bill Cilker, Thanks so much for the pictures. What I have is a mixture of '30 parts. The dash rail appears to be the later '30 rail and the metal strip that it is bolted to is...

Re: Instrument Panel Lamp

Mister Moose, Thanks for your reply. My '30 is the later design with the light above the cluster in the rail. I have the round speedometer. I believe I may have a mixture of 1930 parts in that...

Re: 4 post lifts

I have had a Backyard Buddy lift for many years with no problems. Perhaps the safest 4-post lift on the market. They are a bit pricey. I believe I paid around $3,200 fifteen years ago. Purchased...

Re: Model A's & Airplanes

Not a Model A...but these pictures were taken at Grimes Field in Urbana, OH. Our Ford club met there for a "Fly In" of vintage planes. This plane is a B-25 I believe.

Re: A Lazy Sunday Drive in a Model A

In 1987 I enrolled in a Video Production class at the University of Cincinnati and part of our final grade (big part) was based on a video we each had to produce. I chose to video driving my '32...

Re: '32 Rear hood latch location

You might look at this "vertical" style hood latch. It is available in black or chrome (S.S.?). You can also purchase aluminum mounting pads that will extend the latch out from the frame rail a...

Re: '32 Rear hood latch location

Are you planning to use the original style hood latches? I have seen some folks use the "jeep" style hood latches on their '32 Hiboys. The rear latch was bent at the bottom of the latch at 90...

Re: '32 Rear hood latch location

The bracket will attach parallel to the frame, so the holes appear that the front hole is closer to the frame, but I believe they are the same distance from the frame rail. Left side should be the...

Re: Left 1932 Engine Tin

I believe I paid around $800 for a nice pair of mid-year V8 pans at Hershey 4 or 5 years ago. Was glad to find them!

Re: Generator Charging

Duffy, I believe there might be a little confusion here. Increase the idle with your foot on the accelerator not adjusting the idle speed at the carb. When you increase your revs (with your foot or...
