Re: Insurance policy w/o liability?
Basically one writes the repair estimate. The Estimator submits it to the second company. Basically they split and each pays for half up to their exposure limits.

Re: Early '28 Model A - possible AR?
I can guarantee it is not an "AR" as Ford never designated one of his cars by that acronym. That is a Ford Parts List term only for parts.
Also realize that the left-handed brake lever was...

Re: Reamers
Possibly Bob, you need to find a machine shop with a cylindrical grinder. Most tool and die shops can do it.

Re: 30-31 pickup cab parts
Mike, as mentioned above, there is not anyone commercially making that panel. One suggestion I would make for you is that a friend of mine in Hastings, NE (-not sure how far that is from you) named...

Re: loose venturi
On the factory print, the major diameter of the Venturi was specified to be from 1.3732" - 1.3756", -and the minor diameter size was 1.2370" - 1.2430". It really should be a slip fit and not loose...

Something light enough to not require unnecessary motor torque while the gears are engaging, yet thick enough to cling to the gears to provide lubrication at all times. I have used Lubriplate on...

Joe, if you recall when we were talking on the phone a month or two ago, the way I would approach repairing yours is to place the spindle in a...

Re: Reamers
If I may make a recommendation, the ROI for you purchasing your own reamers will never be good for a hobbyist mechanic. If I were in your shoes, purchase extra bushings for whatever task you want...

Re: Reamers
Tim, adjustable reamers in my view are for emergency scenarios where a piece of machinery needs to be placed back in service immediately and the adjustable reamer allows for a bushing to be sized...

Re: Reamers
You are asking a very loaded question since the quality of finish is directly related to the type of reamer used, the quality of the reamer, and how the reamer will be rotated (power vs. hand). None...

Re: Station wagon wood
Guys, Post #9 that brought up this 5 year old posting is SPAM. This poster (Erik Martin) is not speaking of a Model-A Station Wagon.

Re: Insurance policy w/o liability?
John, I think that is a pretty accurate statement.
The leading issue when I deal with an Insurer is "replacement value". What is it going to cost to replace my vehicle with one exactly the same...

Re: Insurance policy w/o liability?
Colin, I have actually encountered this in my work with customers who had a casualty claim. Passing of the buck is not done. If anything, they are all too excited that you had double coverage. The...

UPDATE:
David, using the location on one of your classified ads, you are 200 miles away from Ron's Machine in Ohio just outside of Cincinnati. You are just under 250 miles from me in Tennessee. ...

Re: Babbit job
David, to get a realistic answer, I would think you really need to be a little more specific of where you want to go.
As I see it, if you are in the very top of WV, you are not that far from...

Re: A working Sedan Delivery
I am guessing the motor was not 220 volt for the demo. A larger, higher voltage motor would be easy enough to switch out upon a sale.
I guess it is plausible for the salesman to bring 100' of...
