Re: Assembly line photo

Thank you for posting!
Like Licensed to kill, I also browsed through all of the photos in the collection (https://www.facebook.com/imbuedwithhues/photos/) - very nice work on display.

Re: Interesting Newspaper Advertisement - March 18, 1931

Thanks for posting - it's interesting to see the relative price differences between the different models.
I also find it amusing that their phone number is listed, "37".
I guess not too many people...

Re: Question ????

Thank you - I hadn't heard of these before; I particularly like the "no expiration date" aspect of them

Re: Checklist for startup after 10-month unplanned hiatus

Re: Dash Light Bulb Changeout

Not sure, but maybe others can confirm:
would this (https://www.ledlight.com/81-miniature-bulb-ba15s-base-led-6-to-24-volt-g6.aspx) bulb work?

"81 LED Bulb 6 Volt Positive Chassis or Negative...

Re: stay signed in on the barn

I've had that happen before on both this and other websites.
Most of the time, it is due to a corrupted "cookie" - deleting it almost always fixes things.
Depending on which browser you're using,...

Re: Types of 6 volt sealed beam headlights

Got them today - and WOW, what a difference!
Much brighter, and about 1/4 the current draw.

Thank you Merc Cruzer (https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/member.php?u=6909) (also - got your message - the...

Re: Types of 6 volt sealed beam headlights

Thank you - just took a look at your thread - it's nice to have other choices, and it looks like the bulbs you chose have MUCH lower current draw than what Octane Lighting sells. I think I'm sold!

Re: Types of 6 volt sealed beam headlights

yeah - I don't like the "modern" look of that glass...but taking a second peek at their website, it appears they have a more traditional look available as well...

Re: Types of 6 volt sealed beam headlights

Sorry to revive an old thread - but one of the things I've been looking into is finding a led replacement for H6006 sealed beams (when I acquired my Town Sedan, it already had those in place of the...

Re: Spark Question

To add to what Jim said above - please see the attached picture.

It's the clearest most understandable drawing of the ignition system I've seen; I can't take credit for it - I believe I got it...

Neat old film from the Ford Archives

This has probably been posted before, but it's the first time I came across it:

A short 38 minute documentary, "The American Road (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVVcQxxENE4)", which makes...

I don't see it on Snyder's either, but Mac's seems to have one for $80, and claims to be available:

Re: Need to replace Sediment Bulb assembly - paint it?

Thanks - no paint will make things a bit easier; all I had to go by was how mine currently is - a previous owner must have done that (painted it black) at some point.

Re: Car has Zero Electric

Yup - had a nearly identical experience about six years ago - I had brought my car to a local "classic car night" at a nearby beach town (and purposely parked next to another Model A).

Come time...

Re: Did you restore the car yourself?

I tell the truth - the previous owners did the restoring, and I've just been maintaining it since, with a few minor changes (battery cutoff, voltage regulator, fuses, LED tail and brake lights).
