Re: Columbia Rear install info
You're going to enjoy your Columbia. What controls are you planning on, the early vacuum over vacuum or electric over vacuum?

Re: Columbia Rear install info
Yes Straightener.
The one in the picture is size specific. If you are planning on buying one, I would suggest an adjustable one for different sizes. It would be more cost effective and save...

Re: Columbia Rear install info
How Many feet??
My car is a custom job for a "32". My two piece were 4 foot each. Maybe someone who did an installation on a 33-34 can chime in.
3/8" soft copper usually comes in a 25 ft...

Re: Columbia Rear install info
I can tell you how I did my "32". I ran parallel 3/8" copper on the inside of the passenger frame rail. I was able to pass it between the K-member and the frame where I extended to the control...

Re: Anything V8 happening Jan/Feb in San Diego?
I just got back from San Diego after spending the Holiday at my sisters. I was surprised of the more conservative attitude then what I imagined of California. People are friendly and courteous.

Re: Dual Stromberg questions
When you say rebuilt, were they done by a professional, like by Charlie from NY?
There's more to it then just installing a kit.

Re: Frenzel
Ronnie, Isn't the beauty of a vacuum advance it will retard timing when you open up the throttle? Where with mechanical advance you don't have that.
I run the 91 octane non-corn fuel and the plugs...

Re: Frenzel
I guess I'm confused on the Op's query. Does he own it, manufacture them or is thinking about purchasing one? Maybe it's color choice, I don't know.

Re: Frenzel
Looks like a stock 8ba crank pulley. I would bet it's a work in progress. Looking at the pictures he has some clearance issues to work out.
The distributor looks like it's in the way of using the...

Re: 8ba question
Back in the day, when pulling into a drive-in, Hot rodders would pull out the choke to achieve that lumpy sound. It made it sound like they had a hot cam.
