I have used Easy Off on stripes before. Do not let it set to long as I did. It cleaned the stripes, paint under it, and softened the primer.

Hard to tell for sure. Try removing one plug wire at a time and see if one of those makes NO difference.

Looks like the .023 wire is to deep in the feeder wheel. Must be in the .030 grove. Can you not flip the wheel over to the other grove? Wire looks to be feeding off the wheel just behind the valley...

Looks pretty darn good to me. I used AE back in 1974 and it fairly decent for a daily driver. Used mostly lacquer back then. Last few years used BC/CC. May have to give the AE a try on my next...
