Firestones are supposedly what they had when new, but the ride from Lester's is much softer. Easy to mount on rims.

I have my T's inspected every year. Most of the time they just check the lights and horn and make sure the car is roadworthy. The computer system wants the operator to check the left front brakes,...

I had a quail on my 29 coupe. Had to take it off because the tail kept hitting the hood when the hood was opened. I ended up drilling a hole in a plain radiator cap and installed a motor meter.

With the mixture knob closed, you are running too lean. Open it up 1/2 turn and see if it runs better.

Check your starter Bendix. If it is stuck against the flywheel, it could act like a dead starter. Rock the car back and forth to free it up.

I had to put paper linings in the sockets to prevent the contacts inside from grounding out against the side of the socket. Without the paper it was a dead short.

Head gaskets blow from time to time. I would make sure the block is good an clean, use a new head gasket and new head bolts. The old ones could have stretched.

I have both T's and A's. The A is more comfortable, faster, lights are better, etc. The T is more fun for me. If you drive the T as it was meant, it requires no more fixing than the A.
At 35 mph...

Suggest that you take the whole distributor to the parts store. The hole in the side of the body where the wire comes out is different for different years.

Mike, the problem may not be the bands. If the brake handle is the 'lever' that you pull, there is an adjusting bolt on the brake equalizer pawl. Turn the bolt down to adjust your neutral. You should...

Agree. Remove the column bracket from frame, remove pitman arm and tap the column bracket with a hammer GENTLY. Then slide the lever up the throttle rod and pin. Then re-assemble.
