Below is a '40 through '48 "SIDE LOADER" trans, so-called because it's shifting is accomplished via the shift arms on the side, instead of on the "top"! Replace the entire gearset from your "side...

Interesting that this was in a '37. ALMOST looks like you could run a second fan, a la '39/'40 on the crank. Wonder if anyone has ever managed to run a crank-mounted fan in a '37! DD

Try it in 3rd gear.....that'll be a lot tougher to rotate than in 1st. Plus, put chocks in front of tires. DD

I always understood that hoses installed "on the line" had NO orange writing or Ford script. Ford Parts Dept. at the Ford house 'REPLACEMENT' hoses had the ORANGE stuff.

True scoop, Kube! The Ford "15P" (actually "Stout Metal Aircraft Co.") had an all aluminum Ford flatty. Notice that the "right" & "left" heads are swapped side for side. DD

What would be wrong with using a MUCH-MORE-COMMON 8BA flywheel & pressure plate, along with a "pre-'49" disc for the 1-3/8" spline? DD

Hey Josh! It's actually a pretty straight forward process.

1....Install flywheel. It MUST be a '49-'53 8BA-type flywheel. The six threaded
clutch bolt holes are drilled all the way thru...

WOW....what an obvious mess! I see now that it has some sort of Corvette IFS and a 'coil-over-mounted' S-10 rear axle. I'd bet a hunnert buck$ that it would scare the bejesus out of ya looking...

I never mentioned "Cobra"! There's a whole lot of difference between AC Bristol and MG-A, at least to me! DD
