Re: Coming Up for Sale - Vintage Ford Magazines

I am not really pulling stunts.

Yes, Dick gave me these magazines. But I really want them to go to someone who would read them more than me. I don't need them.

Can everyone leave me alone...

Re: Coming Up for Sale - Vintage Ford Magazines

James, I don't need the magazines any more. I'd like for them to go to someone who would read them. Besides, I'm not a magazine reader. I wasn't using Dick one bit.

yachtsmanbill, why are you so...

The First Car

rollingsculpture, I would if I had the time and money.

I'd rather pay a good $15,000 to get a already-running car. It's not that my parent's don't need the money, as they do. But it's my money,...

Re: Model A CRASH??

I agree. That's why I want my first and only car to be a Model A Ford. No distractions to cause problems. :)

I do agree with the today's cars being just as dangerous part. Cars today, sure have...

Re: Garrett's First Car

Thanks, Mendotaman.

I am starting to work hard towards it.

A question hit me today. Is it possible to put seat belts (safety belts) in a Model A? Here in Missouri they are required by law.

Re: First Car

As for the "in fact he is 13" part, I have proof.

The photo attached was taken by Dick Lodge when I rode in a 1911 Ford Model T. I am the one in the pink shirt.

Re: First Car

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. It's fixed temporarily by listing the prices and a "Contact Me" link as the "index.html" page.

For now everything's okay.

Re: First Car

I honestly will get about $13,000 to $15,000 to get a Model A. By then I will be at an age where I will be able to work at a burger joint in town to get additional money.

Both my parent's are...

Re: First Car

Like I said, the money for the car will all come from my website business, which hasn't even made 1 sale yet, despite all the posters I posted all over town advertising it. So the cheapest running...

Re: First Car

Are 30-31 Tudor Sedan's hard to find?

About How much will a 30-31 Tudor Sedan cost? Because every cent counts. As long as it runs perfectly and it's a Model A I'll be fine.

First, I have to make the $20,000 needed to...

Question- What is a Babbit?

I've been hearing this term on Model T's. The term is "Babbit." What is a Babbit? What does it do and what does it look like?

OT- I've taken down my website

I have taken down my Model T website, Tin Lizzie Online. Now all there is on there is a notification page.

The fate will be decided later in the month, but for now it's down.

Re: Jetzt, da der Staub gelegt hat, seine Zeit bei der Arbeit

Yep, Jack Innes is correct! Schwinn has been made in China for a long time.

My bike is one of those road bikes with the skinny tires, weird handlebars that I never understood, and 12 speed. It's...

Re: Jetzt, da der Staub gelegt hat, seine Zeit bei der Arbeit

Before the China Junk Tube was put in there we had...
